Data Entry Specialist I

Job Summary: As a Data Entry Specialist I, you will be responsible for accurately inputting and updating data into our systems and databases. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in data management within the telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Verification:

• Input data from source documents into the appropriate databases, spreadsheets, or other electronic formats with precision and accuracy.
• Verify the accuracy of data input by reviewing, comparing, and correcting information as needed to ensure data integrity.
• Maintain strict attention to detail when entering and updating data to minimize errors and discrepancies.

Database Maintenance:

• Update and maintain databases by entering new and updated information, ensuring that records are current, complete, and accurate.
• Perform routine data clean-up activities, identifying and correcting errors, duplicates, or inconsistencies in database records.
• Organize and file documents and records in accordance with established procedures for easy retrieval and reference.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Generate reports, summaries, and other documents based on input data, following established formatting and presentation guidelines.
• Assist in compiling and organizing data for analysis, reporting, and decision-making purposes, as requested by management or team members.
• Maintain documentation of data entry procedures, standards, and guidelines for reference and training purposes.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data, resolving discrepancies and issues as they arise.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify data requirements, address inquiries, and provide status updates on data entry tasks.
• Seeks feedback and guidance from supervisors or team leads to improve data entry processes and performance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree, and/or equivalent related experience; relevant certification preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative role preferred.
• Proficiency in data entry and typing skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with database management systems and software applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
