Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5PM
Summary:
Greets, instructs and directs patients and visitors. Ensures complete and correct capture and registration of all needed patient demographics/insurance into information system. Responsible for performing all scheduling, check-in and checkout duties in accordance with practice policies. Responsible for charge posting and over-the-counter payment posting.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE: Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. (Familiar with ICD-10 and CPT coding). Knowledge of third party payers desirable. Computer experience required. Knowledge of business office procedures. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric system. Knowledge of customer service guidelines.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a clean, well-lighted, air-conditioned environment. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with some occasional walking/standing. Must be able to work in a stressful environment subject to interruptions from patients and staff. May be exposed to infectious diseases with protective measures and follow up treatments provided.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
