POSITION: HTST OPERATOR2nd Shift 1:00 pm to 9:00 pmDUTIES: OPERATE PASTUERIZERS, BATCH PRODUCTS, BATCH MIXES, OPERATE MILK AND MIX PRESS, PERFORM CREAM LOADOUTS, CLEAN TANKS AND EQUIPMENT (IN BOTH MIX AND PAST ROOM), COMPLETE NECESSARY PAPERWORK, DOCUMENT CHARTS, STOCK INGREDIENTS, CLEAN ASSOCIATED AREAS, AND OTHER DUTIES ASSIGNED. WORK WHERE NEEDED WHEN ASKED. DAYS WORKED AND HOURS ASSIGNED MAY TEMPORIARLY CHANGE DUE TO BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS.Responsibilities:Complete all required quality checks and documentationCollect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testingMonitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of productMake adjustments to filler timing and filling; check vat as neededAbility to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficultiesPerform filler equipment and filler line changeovers for next run safelyWorking knowledge with wrapper operations; watch for jams and effectively thread product wrapComplete cleaning checklist once line has completed runFollow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report any deficienciesEnsure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being producedResponsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirementsAssist in identifying opportunities to improve processesAny other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsExperience analyzing and troubleshooting process data and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughputBasic math competency required to perform calculationsOvertime and working on holidays is often requiredExperience within the food and beverage industry preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
