And we leverage the spirit of teamwork, hard work, and dedication to make our strategic plans become an operational reality.Duties and Responsibilities:The AYCSS Business Operations Manager (BOM) is a central position in the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success, providing high level of fiscal oversight and budget management in coordination with the Budget and Fiscal manager, administrating the day-to-day operations, focusing on providing service excellence to the constituency served by the Center, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, employers, parents, donors, etc. as well as supporting the execution of events.Office and Business Management and High-Level Administration Support:Provide exceptional customer service and office reception to all students, parents, employers, faculty, and staff, donors, and the general public.Oversee all aspects of front office management including hiring, scheduling, working with and supervising student employees to ensure adequate front desk coverage and accurate dissemination of information.Generate routine and consistent training and professional development for student employees.Schedule complex meetings and events requiring the coordination of multiple, high-level calendars and securing various logistics including catering and locations.Serve as the Office's Telephone Coordinator, arranging for telephone services and repairs.Contribute to special projects as assigned and serve on committees as appropriate.Coordinate travel: initiate travel pre-authorizations, make travel reservations, create itineraries, and assure timely processing of travel expense vouchers.Maintain a detailed inventory of all capital, minor and sensitive equipment in compliance with university and state policies.Fiscal:In coordination with the Budget/Finance Manager, serve as account manager for various accounts, ensuring documentation and compliance of transactions.Manage accounts receivable, including receiving money for events and services rendered.Independently manage procurement of office-related items and maintain a detailed inventory of all minor and sensitive equipment.Initiate and manage office-related projects such as facilities remodels and repairs.Manage bi-weekly payroll within the Center and approve on behalf of the Vice Provost and AYCSS Managers.Create and process various types of appointments for AYCSS staff and student employment.Support AYCSS job searches, including communication with candidates and coordinating selection and hiring logistics.Event and Operations Support:Coordinate logistical arrangements for signature events, arranging for food, space, technology, and other details.Assist with donor and employer hospitality.Manage Outlook calendar events for all staff functions.Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:A Bachelor's Degree or progressively responsible administrative/office management experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.Significant, progressively responsible administrative work experience in a busy office setting providing high-level administrative support.Demonstrated experience communicating complex information effectively and professionally.Demonstrated experience in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments/events.Demonstrated technical competence using personal computers and various software.Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:Knowledge of MSU procedures and policies or previous experience working in a higher education setting.Demonstrated experience successfully organizing a large-scale event or campaign.Experience using the SCT Banner system or relational database.The Successful Candidate Will:Have a strong desire to help students create their MSU experience.Possess sound decision-making skills and represent the office professionally.Have a high level of integrity and be experienced managing confidential information.Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Have effective interpersonal skills including collaboration with mentors and staff.Position Special Requirements/Additional Information:Maintain a flexible schedule to host events and interact with students during evening and occasional weekend hours.This job description should not be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements, but a general description of the job.Physical Demands:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.This position has supervisory duties?
