About the Role

Umarex USA / Walther USA is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and has excellent Excel skills to support reporting, analysis, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Process Accounts Payable transactions, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment runs.
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support the CFO with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and assist with audits and compliance requirements.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• A hands-on work style - comfortable managing both detail and big-picture tasks
• Must have experience working with an ERP accounting system.
• Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis).
• Experience in a multi-company environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
