Job Overview

Crain Hyundai of Fort Smith is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Writer to join our service department team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately documenting vehicle service needs, and coordinating communication between customers and our service technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and document vehicle service requests accurately.
• Prepare and explain repair orders, estimates, and service recommendations to customers.
• Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely and quality repairs.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
• Process service orders, parts requests, and warranty claims efficiently.
• Ensure all paperwork and documentation comply with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Promote additional services and maintenance to customers when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a customer service role within an automotive service environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with service management software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
