Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Trust Accounting

  • Cleanup & Accuracy: Review and organize financial records to identify and correct discrepancies in bookkeeping, payroll, and expense tracking.
  • A/R & A/P Management: Systemize accounts payable workflows and lead the charge in bringing accounts receivable current by improving tracking and follow-up processes.
Strategy, Budgeting & Reporting
  • Actionable Insights: Translate complex financial data into clear reports and recommendations for partners and operations leadership.
  • Forecasting: Assist leadership with budgeting and cash flow forecasting to identify trends and support operational decision-making.
Process Improvement & Integration
  • SOP Development: Establish and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for billing, collections, and month-end closing to ensure scalability.
  • Systems Optimization: Manage accounting via QuickBooks Online and support the integration of financial data with our case management software.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management (Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar).
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a strong understanding of general ledger and financial reporting.
  • Mindset: A hands-on, execution-focused professional who thrives in fast-moving or transitional environments.
  • Location: Ability to work in-office at one of our specified locations.
Preferred:
  • Legal Industry: Prior experience with law firm trust accounting and client fund management.
  • Systems Thinker: Proven track record of improving A/R and A/P systems in a growing business environment.
